You've already built something valuable in your chats with AI. You just haven't saved it yet. Here's how to capture what works and make it repeatable.
Most people treat AI chats as disposable. A question answered, a task done, then gone. But when a chat works really well — when you get exactly what you needed — that conversation contains something valuable: implicit instructions that can be extracted and reused.
From one-off chats to reusable teammates
Projects and Gems are premium features. All three platforms offer them at similar price points — roughly $20/month. Here's what you need:
Copy this. Paste it at the end of any successful chat. It will handle the extraction for you.
In the left sidebar, click "Projects" (requires Pro plan).
Click "Create Project" and give it the name the prompt generated for you.
Click "Set custom instructions" on the right. Paste the instructions generated by the prompt.
If the prompt recommended any files, upload them to the "Project knowledge" section.
Star the project so it appears in your left sidebar for instant access.
Here are common scenarios where this workflow pays off immediately.
You asked AI to research a guest, find their background, notable work, and interesting questions to ask. It took some back-and-forth to get the depth right.
You worked with AI to draft an important email. After a few rounds, it nailed your tone — professional but warm, direct but not harsh.
You uploaded interview transcripts and asked AI to find patterns, pull key quotes, and identify opportunities. The synthesis was exactly what you needed.
Think about a recent conversation where AI really delivered. Go back to it right now and paste the magic prompt. In five minutes, you'll have your first AI teammate.
